Lexus HID Bulbs - Replacement Guide (Factory Xenon Headlights & Complete Conversion Kits)
|
Lexus HID headlights
Lexus is an industry innovator when it
comes to using HID headlamps and the HID
bulbs used within them. Lexus HID set the
standard with the advent of HID projector
headlamps that "look" around corners. With
this technology, Lexus HID headlamps still
used the D2 HID bulb platform through to
2006 on most vehicles. However, the latest
vehicles from Lexus use HID-D4S bulbs and
HID-D4R bulbs which are environmentally
friendly (mercury free) bulbs that use a
different bulb base. Lexus HID D4S and
D4R bulbs are not interchangeable with
vehicles using D2 bulbs
This Lexus ES330
illustrates the
difference between
yellowish factory HID
and our 6000K
premium white HID
bulbs.

8000K HID bulbs on RX 300 (1999 - 2003)
If your Lexus is already equipped with HID
headlights from the factory, then you do not
need a conversion kit, and will be able to
follow the HID bulb link in the "Factory
Replacement HID bulbs" column to order the
correct bulbs for your Lexus.
We recommend the 5000K option to replace
the look of factory HID headlights on Lexus
vehicles. However, if you desire bulbs that
produce more of a pure white light, or more
of a bluish colored light, you should choose
our 6000K (premium white), or 8000K
(xenon-blue) bulbs.
